Cold War Kids have released two singles, "Complainer" and "4th of July," off their upcoming studio album New Age Norms.
The album, to be released this fall, is their first since LA Divine in 2017.
Bonnie McKee and Electric Guest's Asa Taccone wrote "Complainer" and the lyrics of the song go like this: "Now you're out on your own, don't know where you belong/Don't sit around and complain about it/You say you want to change this world/Don't sit around and complain about it."
In "4th of July," the group's lead vocalist Nathan Willet sings, "Seasons never change/ The sun it always shines swimming in palm springs/ Losing track of time its easy just to float/ To enjoy the ride don't be critical/ Only bring good vibes."
Cold War Kids are set to embark on a U.S. headlining tour in October and November.
