Sam Smith says he is stronger than ever today and shared the wise words he has learned in life in a series of tweets on Tuesday.
The English singer-songwriter said he took a break from his "first holiday in a long, long time" to address his fans.
He started the lengthy tweet with the introduction, "Looking back on a year and a half of therapy and what has been probably the most challenging time of my short 27 years here".
Smith said he is slowly starting to realize that the words of the celebrated author Brene Brown - 'You are enough' - are the only words that really matter.
"That mess in your mind is not a mess. It is who you are. By constantly trying to change and seek perfection and a life of no pain only causes more pain I am realising," Smith said.
