Drake posted a photo of himself on his Instagram Story last Friday (October 30), and it showed him in bed with a knee brace on his right leg.
"New Challenge unlocked," he captioned the clip. However, he deleted the post subsequently and reposted the picture with the caption: "I actually want to use this post to send love and motivation to anybody else that 2020 let loose on. Start writing the best bounce back story NOW."
Although the singer did not reveal what happened to his leg, his spokesperson reportedly confirmed to Billboard that Drake recently had knee surgery.
Drake recently announced that the release of his upcoming album, Certified Lover Boy has been pushed back to January 20201.
