Previously unreleased David Bowie covers of John Lennon and Bob Dylan were released on January 8, which would have been the English singer-songwriter's 74th birthday.

The previously unreleased cover versions of Lennon's "Mother" and Dylan's "Tryin' To Get To Heaven" are available as a limited edition 7" single.

Only 8,147 copies of the record, released through Rhino Records, are available for purchase. 1,000 of them are on cream colored vinyl purchasable via the link https://lnk.to/DBMTTGTH. The remaining records are black vinyl. Both tracks are also available to stream and download.

Lennon's 1970 classic "Mother" was originally recorded by Bowie in 1998 with producer Tony Visconti.

"Tryin' to Get to Heaven" is Dylan's 1997 song from the album Time Out of Mind. Bowie's version of the song was recorded the next year.

One of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, Bowie died of liver cancer in 2016.
