Drake has postponed the release of his sixth studio album, Certified Lover Boy, as he recovers from knee surgery.

On Wednesday, January 20, the rapper announced on Instagram Stories that Certified Lover Boy will not be arriving in January as previously announced.

"I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery," he wrote. "I'm blessed to be back on my feet and feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won't be dropping in January."

However, Drake ended the message by confirming that the album will arrive this year, saying, "I'm looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021."

Although the singer did not reveal what happened to his leg, in October, Drake had posted a picture of him in bed with a knee brace on his right leg.
