Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider has criticized the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Committee as "arrogant" and "elitist."

Snider blasted the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's system of voting and its aversion to heavy metal rock music in a Twitter post.

"The RnR Hall committee members are arrogant elitist as**oles who look down on metal & other bands that sell millions because we're not their definition of cool," he tweeted on Monday.

"The fan vote is their 'throwing a bone' to the peasants," according to the 65-year-old singer-songwriter, radio personality and actor. "I want to say FU, but I want them to have to deal with us."

Snider alleged that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees are largely decided by Rolling Stone co-founder Jann Wenner, whom he described as "the puppet master since day one."
