Mick Jagger narrates an emotional tribute to Royal Albert Hall in a short film released to mark the iconic London venue's 150th anniversary.

In the 90-second video, the Rolling Stones frontman reads a portion of W.H. Auden's 1964 poem "For Friends Only," an ode to friendships.

"I have some wonderful memories of performing there with the Stones in the 1960s when once or twice it did get a bit wild, with enthusiastic fans joining us onstage and almost bringing the show to an abrupt end - but we soldiered on and had a great time," Jagger said in a statement. "Without doubt, the Royal Albert Hall is one of the greatest concert venues in the world."

The film, directed by Tom Harper, features footage of performances by artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Diana Ross, Luciano Pavarotti, Adele, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Stormzy.

It also shows speeches by former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Albert Einstein at the Royal Albert Hall, which has been closed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
