Grammy-winning singer Brandy has signed on for a role in ABC's hip-hop drama "Queens."

Brandy will star opposite Eve, Naturi Naughton and Pepi Sonuga in the drama from writer Zahir McGhee and ABC Signature.

"Queens" tells story of four women in their 40s who reunite for a chance to recapture their fame and regain the swagger they had as the Nasty Bitches, a '90s group that made them legends in the hip-hop world.

Brandy will be playing Naomi, who twenty years ago was known as Xplicit Lyrics, the highly skilled musical engine of the Nasty Bitches. Brandy will also be creating original music for the show.

"Queens" is written and executive produced by McGhee, with Sabrina Wind also serving as an executive producer. Tim Story will direct and executive produce the pilot. ABC Signature will produce.
