Ariana Grande's Positions has surged to No. 2 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart, driven by strong vinyl sales.
Positions spiked from 79th position to 2nd following the album's vinyl release on April 9. The album recorded the third-largest sales week for a vinyl album since MRC Data began tracking sales in 1991, Billboard reports.
Positions sold 35,000 copies in the U.S. in the week ending April 15, up 1,614% compared to the previous week's sales of 2,000. Vinyl LP sales were over 32,000.
The album was initially released on CD and digital download and via streaming services on October 30, 2020.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift's Fearless (Taylor's Version) debuted atop the Top Album Sales chart dated April 24 with the year's biggest sales week, scoring 179,000 copies sold in the U.S. in the week ending April 15.
