Kelly Clarkson covered Coldplay's hit "Yellow" on Friday, April 30, for the "Kellyoke" segment on her talk show "The Kelly Clarkson Show."
The singer, accompanied by her Y'all band members, delivered a soaring cover of "Yellow" by giving the song her own spin.
"Yellow" was a song from Coldplay's debut album Parachutes. "Yellow" reached No. 4 on the U.K. Singles Chart, giving Coldplay their first top-five hit in the United Kingdom.
"Yellow" also achieved popularity in the U.S., peaking at No. 48 on Billboard's all-genre Hot 100 chart and at No. 2 on Adult Alternative Songs.
Meanwhile, Coldplay recently announced that they'll be dropping their new single, "Higher Power," on May 7.
