The Black Keys have covered blues legend R.L. Burnside's hit "Going Down South" for their upcoming album, Delta Kream, due out on May 14 via Nonesuch.

The 11-track Delta Kream cover album sees the Akron, Ohio, garage rockers paying tribute to the Mississippi blues. The band had earlier released the first single, "Crawling Kingsnake," from the album.

The Ryan Nadzam-directed video for "Going Down South" also highlights numerous musical landmarks.

"That was one of R.L. Burnside's hits! We strayed a little from the original on our version with the falsetto and percussion, but we liked how it sounded in that moment. It's become one of my favorites on the album," said Black Keys' Dan Auerbach about "Going Down South."

Auerbach points out that he and drummer Patrick Carney have deviated from the deep Southern baritone found on Burnside's recording. But, the old blues standards have been well brought out through their own unique voices.
