Pop Smoke Posthumously Wins Top 200 Album At Billboard Music Awards

Pop Smoke posthumously won five awards at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards a year after his death.

The late rapper won Top New Artist, Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Male Artist as well as Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Rap Album for Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon.

Pop Smoke's mother Audrey Jackson accepted the Top Billboard 200 Album award on behalf of her son at the award ceremony, held at the L.A. Live complex in Los Angeles on Sunday.

"Thank you to the fans for honoring the life and spirit of my son, so much that he continues to manifest as if he were still here in flesh," she said after accepting the honor.

"So thank you to the Billboard Awards leadership for honoring my young warrior Bashar Barakah Jackson," Jackson added, referring to Pop Smoke's original name.

Juice WRLD's Legends Never Die, Lil Baby's My Turn, Taylor Swift's Folklore, and The Weeknd's After Hours were also nominated for the Top Billboard 200 Album award.
