Tulkoff Food Products, Inc. recalled Kimchi Aioli 18 fl. oz. squeeze bottles citing the presence of undeclared wheat and soy allergens, the Food and Drug Administration said in a statement.
The consumption of these products can lead to life-threatening allergic reaction if consumed by people who are severely sensitive to wheat or soy, the agency said in a statement.
The recalled product carries lot code of 09.18.2021M.
Tulkoff Kimchi Aioli was distributed in states including Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virgina through US Foods, Pastores, and Restaurant Depot between March 22, 2021, and June 6th, 2021.
Best if used by date of 09.18.2021M is printed on the bottle, that comes with a front label saying Kimchi Aioli and back label Jalapeno Aioli.
The error is confined to one specific lot of the specific product, of which 140 cases were made.
There have been no reports of adverse events associated with affected product.
