In a recent interview with Apple Music 1's Ebro Darden, R&B singer Normani revealed that she was initially "terrified" of playing her Cardi B collab "Wild Side" for her dad.
The ex-Fifth Harmony member shared that her father insisted on being shown the record as everyone else had listened to it before him; "He works night shifts. He hustles for his family, and so to get through the night, sometimes he listens to all my records, and he was dying to listen to this one," she said.
Eventually, the matter was taken out of her hands, she revealed, as her Mother played the song for him and to her relief, his immediate reaction was that it "is fire"; "He loves the song, he loves the record," she added.
