Fall Out Boy skipped the last two dates - New York and Boston - on the Hella Mega tour with Green Day and Weezer after a member of the band's touring team tested Covid-19 positive.

"Out of an abundance of caution, Fall Out Boy will not perform at the New York and Boston shows of the Hella Mega Tour due to an individual on the band's team testing positive for Covid," Fall Out Boy said in a statement posted on Instagram on Wednesday.

"It's important to note that everyone on the entire tour, both band, and crew, are fully vaccinated," the band added. "Each band and their crew have operated in a bubble independently to safeguard everyone as much as possible at each show and in between shows."

The statement also notes the Hella Mega tour has a full-time COVID safety protocol officer on staff to ensure everyone is closely following CDC guidelines.

The Hella Mega Tour's shows in New York City's Citi Field on Wednesday and Boston's Fenway Park on Thursday went on as scheduled without the rock band, but Green Day, Weezer, and the Interrupters took the stage.
