Glass Animals' "Heat Waves" has reached No. 1 in its 60th week on Billboard's Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.
The 60-week climb to the top is a new record for the longest ascent, breaking the 47 weeks by Twenty One Pilots' "Ride".
"Heat Waves" had 16.1 million U.S. streams, 6 million radio audience impressions and 3,500 downloads sold in the week ending September 2, according to MRC Data.
"Heat Waves," a track from the band's 2020 album Dreamland, remains viral on TikTok.
It is also the rock band's first No. 1 track on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.
