Dow, S&P 500 Nearly Unchanged In Mid-Day Trading, Nasdaq Modestly Lower

After showing a lack of direction early in the session, stocks continue to turn in a lackluster performance in mid-day trading on Friday. The choppy trading on the day comes on the heels of the rally seen over the two previous sessions.

Currently, the Dow is down 12.26 points or less than a tenth of a percent at 34,752.56 and the S&P 500 is down 0.76 points or less than a tenth of a percent at 4,448.22. The Nasdaq is a little more firmly in the red, down 44.89 points or 0.3 percent at 15,007.35.
