Rosalía has teamed up with The Weeknd for a video for "La Fama," the first single off her upcoming album Motomami, due next year.
The video, which officially dropped on Thursday (November 11), begins with actor Danny Trejo introducing Rosalía as she takes the stage.
"I want to introduce the following number but I must warn you, she's not for everyone, she will pierce your heart and she will be your only obsession," he says.
The visual then shows the Spanish singer performing at a nightclub where she seduces The Weeknd, who watches her sing about how fame can be a double-edged sword. The two singers than trade verses in Spanish.
"I wanted to write, in my own way, a bachata with a little story around ambition. Taking as a reference the lyrics of Ruben Blades or Patti Smith and the songs of Aventura, I ended up writing a story of romance with fame," Rosalía said in a statement about "La Fama."
Rosalía and The Weeknd previously collaborated on a bilingual "Blinding Lights" remix last December.
