Green Day recently shared a live recording of their 1998 performance of the song "Hitchin' A Ride" from their upcoming album, BBC Sessions.

"Hitchin' A Ride" was the lead single from the pop punk legends' fifth album, Nimrod.

Green Day said they were releasing the recording to celebrate Thanksgiving, tweeting, "Bringing you out of the food coma."

BBC Sessions, which includes 16-tracks from Green Day's appearances at the BBC's legendary Maida Vale Studios from 1994, 1996, 1998, and 2001, is set to release on December 10.

Green Day has scheduled a Hella Mega Tour in Europe during June-July next year with Fall Out Boy and Weezer.
