Brandi Carlile will perform at the 30th annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Awards viewing party on March 27.
The rest of the lineup of performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
"Getting to perform for such a significant milestone of one of the most legendary Oscar Parties is an absolute honor," Carlile said. "I'm looking forward to celebrating Hollywood's big night with close friends and supporters of the Elton John AIDS Foundation and helping bring awareness to an incredibly important cause."
"David (Furnish) and I are so grateful to celebrate 30 years of the foundation and especially grateful to Brandi Carlile and the many fabulous guests supporting us for another magnificent night in West Hollywood Park," Elton John said.
Furnish, who is married to John, is the chairman of the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
This year's event marks 30 years of the Elton John AIDS Foundation and all funds raised during the evening will support its network of partners to challenge discrimination, prevent new cases of HIV and provide treatment as well as influencing governments to end AIDS, the Foundation said in a statement.
