The Boston Red Sox and Live Nation New England have announced a two-night concert by James Taylor with his All-Star Band for the official opening of the brand-new 5,000+ seat MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston on August 29 and 30.
"James' connection to the Red Sox, Fenway Park, and the broader Fenway Sports Group family has been a constant, and there is no one better suited to the task of debuting our new state-of-the-art venue," said Red Sox President Sam Kennedy. "We didn't only seek him out for his talent, accomplishment, and appeal, but as a Bostonian who, like us, understands the power a venue can have on people and communities."
"We can't wait to have James perform at the MGM Music Hall, a place we hope will stand for something greater than brick and mortar in the music world," he added.
Tickets for both shows will go on sale on June 17 at 10 am. The presale for these new dates will begin on June 13, at 10 am ET.
Only those who are signed in to their JamesTaylor.com account will be able to participate in James's exclusive ticket presales.
