The Chicks have postponed a few of their shows and are taking a short break after frontwoman Natalie Maines was placed on vocal rest by doctors.
"As a result of strict doctor's orders for vocal rest, the Chicks are forced to postpone the following shows," the group announced on Twitter, listing their shows in Noblesville, Indiana, Cincinnati, Ohio and Clarkston, Michigan.
All three shows have been rescheduled for late September and earlier October.
"The Chicks apologize for the inconvenience and hope to see you all at the new dates," the post added.
Further, Patty Griffin will serve as The Chicks' opening act at the rescheduled performances.
The decision to postpone the sows comes after the trio had to cut short their Noblesville, Indiana, show on Sunday, June 19, after Maines was unable to perform.
"Indianapolis, we are sorry we could not give you the show you deserved OR the show we wanted to give you. We will be back Indianapolis!! Hold onto your tickets," the trio announced later in a statement.
