Shinedown's latest studio album, Planet Zero, debuted atop Billboard's Top Album Sales Chart dated July 16.
43,000 copies of the album were sold in the U.S. in the week ending July 7, as per data compiled by Luminate.
Planet Zero, released on July 1, also opens at No. 1 on the Top Current Album Sales, Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, Top Alternative Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts.
Planet Zero is the seventh studio album by the Jacksonville, Florida, rock band, and its sales were boosted by the release in 15 different physical formats.
Out of the 43,000 copies sold, physical format sales comprise 30,000 (24,000 on vinyl LP, 6,000 on CD and less than 500 on cassette) and digital album sales comprise 13,000.
Billboard's Top Album Sales chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales.
