Lady A have announced that the band is postponing their upcoming tour to next year as band member Charles Kelley begins a "journey to sobriety."

The other members of Lady A, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood, said in a statement on social media that they decided to delay their "Request Line Tour" to give the 40-year-old singer of the country music trio all the time and support he needs.

"Being on the road with our fans is our greatest joy, so it was a hard but important decision to make," the group wrote on Instagram. "We are a band, but more importantly… we're family. We're proud to say that Charles has embarked on a journey to sobriety."

"So, right now in order to be the healthiest, strongest and most creative band we can be, Lady A will take the time with the support of our families and team of professionals to walk through this together. It's early on this road, but we are determined to do what will best set us up for many more years together. We're grateful for your patience," they added.

Lady A announced that the point of purchase will contact ticket holders on new ticket information.

Lady A was scheduled to perform next in Memphis on August 20.
