Madonna's 25-year-old daughter Lourdes "Lolahol" Leon released her debut single "Lock&Key" on Wednesday (August 24), via her label Chemical X.
Lourdes also released a music video, directed by Eartheater, for the track. The visual takes viewers through New York City and its outer boroughs.
Lourdes and Eartheater co-produced the track.
The song sees Lourdes seductively crooning through soft, breathy vocals about a relationship with complex dynamics. "I need a breeze / Whisk me away / I need to breathe / Nothing to say," she sings in the track's chorus.
The second verse seems to reference a quote from Lady Gaga, who's had a complicated relationship with Leon's mother.
"No sleep, next plane, no sleep, make up, next club, next car, next plane, no sleep, no fear," Leon sings, a slight alteration of — but a clear nod to — Gaga's monologue, which detailed her work ethic and lifestyle of "no sleep, bus, club, 'nother club, 'nother club, plane, next place, no sleep, no fear."
