Tyler Childers Announces Three-Part Album, Shares Lead Single 'Angel Band'

Tyler Childers has announced that his new, three-part album, Can I Take My Hounds To Heaven?, will arrive on September 30 via Hickman Holler Records and RCA.

Childers revealed that the three segments, Hallelujah, Jubilee, and Joyful Noise, will present a different spin on the same eight songs.

Childers also released the Hallelujah and Jubilee versions of "Angel Band," the lead single from the upcoming album and a music video, directed by Bryan Schlam.

According to a press release, Childers and his band, The Food Stamps, recorded the Halleluja version of the song in a single room, while the Jubilee version recorded by the singer features more instruments, including strings, horns, dulcimer, sitar, and more.

The joyful noise version "will be unveiled on release day," the press release says.

Childers' last album, 2020's Long Violent History, was nominated for a Grammy for Best Folk Album.
