Drake and 21 Savage recently announced plans to release a new joint album, Her Loss.
The pair announced the album in their recently released music video for "Jimmy Cooks", which dropped on 21 Savage's birthday on Saturday, October 22.
At the 1:25 mark in the Mahfuz Sultan-directed video, fans were surprised with the title and release date for the new album. "HER LOSS/ALBUM BY DRAKE AND 21 SAVAGE/OCTOBER 28, 2022," the overlayed message read.
However, Drake later revealed in a post on his Instagram Story that the release of the album has been postponed from October 28 to November 4 due to producer Noah "40" Shebib contracting COVID
"Our brother @ovo40 got Covid while mixing and mastering the crack so he's resting up," Drake posted. "NOVEMBER 4th is HER LOSS day we'll see you soon."
"Jimmy Cooks," a track from Drake's seventh album The Honestly, Nevermind, is the pair's latest collab. The track debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning the Canadian rapper his 11th Hot 100 No. 1 and 21 Savage his second.
In addition to "Jimmy Cooks," 21 Savage has also featured on Drake's Certified Lover Boy track "Knife Talk," and Drake appeared on "Mr. Right Now," from 21 Savage and Metro Boomin's Savage Mode II.
