SZA Drops Bloody New 'Kill Bill' Video

SZA recently dropped a Quentin Tarantino-inspired music video for her track "Kill Bill."

"I might/ I might kill my ex, not the best idea/ His new girlfriend's next, how'd I get here?/ I might kill my ex, I still love him though/ Rather be in jail than alone," SZA sings on the track.

Directed by Christian Breslauer, the video pays homage to Tarantino's revenge film of the same name. It also features a cameo from Vivica A. Fox, who played the character Vernita Green opposite Uma Thurman's Bride in the movie. The video shows a katana-wielding SZA seeking revenge on a violent ex-lover.

"Kill Bill" is from SZA's recently released sophomore studio album, SOS (2022). Mirroring the namesake films' plot, the song's lyrics discuss SZA's fantasy to kill an ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend.

The song was an instant hit, peaking at No. 3 on Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. "Kill Bill" this week jumped to No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart.
