Foo Fighters, Lizzo and The Strokes have been announced as the headliners for Japan's Fuji Rock Festival 2023.
Announcing the first lineup for Fuji Rock '23 , the festival organizers said it also includes "31 artists from rock 'n roll legends to newsworthy artists of our day." Rock & Roll Hall of Famers and kings of Fuji Rock Foo Fighters are back to headline the festival after their appearance at the festival eight years ago, while one of the most important bands of the 2000's, The Strokes will be back at Fuji after a gap of 17 years.
Grammy winner and queen of the pop world, Lizzo is headlining the festival for the first time.
The three-day Fuji Rock '23 will kick off on July 28 at the Naeba Ski Resort in Yuzawa, Niigata Prefecture.
Also on the bill are Lewis Capaldi, Louis Cole, NxWorries, ANDERSON .PAAK, KNXWLEDGE, Weezer, Alanis Morissette, Cory Wong, Denzel Curry, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Yo La Tengo.
Black Midi, IDLES, Alexander 23, Fever 333, Dermot Kennedy, Ginger Root, JATAYU, Neal Francis, Yard Act, GRYFFIN, ROMY, OVERMONO, TSHA Live, YUNG BAE!, GOGO PENGUIN, Sudan Archives, Balming Tiger, G.Love and surf rock legend Donovan Frankenreiter will also be performing at this year's festival.
