Kirk Franklin has reached the top of Billboard's Gospel Songwriters Chart for a landmark 100th week.
"As a songwriter, there are few things more gratifying than seeing your work connect with people on a deep level," Franklin told Billboard. "To have my music resonate with so many for 100 weeks is truly a humbling experience.
"I am grateful beyond words to those that love my music for their support and to everyone who has played a part in bringing my music to life," he added.
The multiple Grammy award winning musician is the first to earn 100 weeks on the Gospel Songwriters chart.
Franklin has earned a number of other credits on Billboard's gospel charts. They include the record for the most Hot Gospel Songs No. 1s, the second-most top five hits, top 10s and overall entries.
He shares the record for the most No. 1 entries on Gospel Airplay chart - 9 - with Tamela Mann, and holds the record for the most career entries at the format.
