Steely Dan will reissue their 1973 LP, Countdown to Ecstasy, on vinyl next month.

The band's co-founder Donald Fagen has overseen the new remaster of Countdown To Ecstasy, which will be released on May 26 via Geffen/UMe.

It is the latest in a series of reissues that began in November with a new release of the band's debut, Can't Buy a Thrill. Bernie Grundman is remastering all the records in the reissue series.

Grundman meticulously remastered Countdown To Ecstasy from the original analog tapes. It will be pressed on 180-gram black vinyl at 33 1/3 RPM.

Additional albums will roll out periodically over the next year and will include 1974's Pretzel Logic, 1975's Katy Lied, 1976's The Royal Scam, 1977's Aja, and 1980's Gaucho.
