"American Idol" has announced that Ed Sheeran and Alanis Morissette will be joining Luke Bryan as guest judges on the show's "616" episode this Sunday (May 7).
Sheeran and Morissette are filling in for Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, who will be away in England to take part in the Coronation of King Charles III.
Perry and Richie will be making an appearance on the show from Windsor Castle.
In addition to being a guest judge, Morissette will also be doing duty as a mentor to the top 10 contestants, who will be performing her songs live. The finalists will also team up with each other to perform duets of Sheeran's hits.
The upcoming episode on Sunday will see viewers casting their votes to select the top 5.
Sheeran will perform his new single "Boat" during the episode, while Morissette will play one of her classics.
