Coi Leray recently released a new anime-inspired music video for her song "Make My Day."
In the video, Coi appears in her anime-alter-ego-form and, as shown through a series of enticing visuals, journeys through the boisterous cartoonish universe.
The track features beats from David Guetta, sampling Technotronic's "Pump Up the Jam," and the visual sees Coi finding herself face-to-face with a squad of monsters on a basketball court.
Coi also finds herself squaring up against an unruly basketball-shooting machine and a living, breathing pile of trash. The rapper scores a final winning dunk as the video comes to a close.
"Make My Day" is part of the launch of Meta's new multi-year campaign, "It's Your World," which featured KidSuper and Jordan Clarkson.
Coi had support from Japanese manga artist and illustrator Acky Bright and game illustrator Isago Fukuda to produce the engaging visuals. Emmy-award-winning French director Fx Goby provided his illustrative expertise to the project as well.
