Former Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Jason Hook has launched a new band.
Called Flat Black!, the new music endeavor will launch its debut tour with Godsmack next month.
The tour will be in support of an album that the new band has already recorded.
"I feel like Flat Black is a secret I've been keeping for three years," Hook said in a statement. "It's finally time to unleash this band on the world. I'm grateful to Sully from Godsmack for giving us the chance to get out on the road and play for such an amazing group of fans."
"As a musician, I crave freedom and I wasn't ready to stop creating. Life is short. We all want to feel satisfied and happy with what we are trying to accomplish in life," he added.
Hook left Five Finger Death Punch in February 2020.
