The Gaslight Anthem recently shared a new single "History Books," featuring rock legend Bruce Springsteen.
"History Books" is the title track from the New Jersey rock band's upcoming album.
History Books, produced by Peter Katis, marks the first LP by The Gaslight Anthem in nine years. The record is set to release on October 27 through their own label Rich Mahogany Recordings.
"When Bruce Springsteen said I should write a duet for us, I think my head exploded," Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon said in a statement. "It will never get old to me that one of the greatest songwriters in the world, and one of my hero's voices, will forever be captured in a song I wrote at a small wooden desk, in October, in New Jersey."
The band's relationship with Springsteen started in 2009, when he joined them onstage at Glastonbury to perform their song "The '59 Sound." That same night, Springsteen invited Fallon out during his headlining set with the E Street Band to sing "No Surrender."
