The Pretenders recently shared "A Love," the latest single from the band's upcoming album, Relentless.
"A Love" is the "most traditionally Pretenders-sounding song," according to the English-American rock band's lead singer and founder Chrissie Hynde.
"I suppose 'A Love' is the most traditionally Pretenders-sounding song on the album, in the vein of 'Kid' or 'Talk of the Town' or any of the midtempo ones over the years," Hynde said in a press release.
She added, "I often see love/relationships almost in the same vein as drug addiction. Although, having said that, I know I am jaded, and cynical."
Relentless, produced by David Wrench, is scheduled for release on September 15, while two songs from the album - "I Think About You Daily" and "Let the Sun Come In" - were previously released.
The Pretenders are set to perform a series of shows with Guns N' Roses this month.
