Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell's smash hit "Bad Guy has been certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America.
"Bad Guy went diamond……………………….HUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH??????????" Eilish shared on Instagram with a photo of herself in the all-yellow outfit from the track's music video. "Forever and ever grateful for this silly little song man. love you guys so much its stupid @finneas."
Finneas, who is Eilish's brother as well as the producer of the song, reposted Eilish's post to his Instagram Stories and added, "This is f**kng crazy actually."
RIAA diamond certifications are awarded to singles or albums that have sold a minimum of 10,000,000 units in their lifetime.
"Bad Guy" is fifth single from Eilish's first studio album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (2019). It was released on March 29, 2019 by Darkroom and Interscope Records.
Upon release, "Bad Guy" received mostly positive reviews. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 and 16 other international charts. The song received several awards, including Record and Song of the Year at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.
