John Mellencamp recently shared a lyric video for the title track of his latest album Orpheus Descending.
The video was directed by Shan Dan Horan, a frequent collaborator with Mellencamp.
It was Horan who directed the video for "The Eyes of Portland" and "Hey God," two other tracks from Orpheus Descending.
"Do you think we'll see the light/ Before the blood hits the street?/ I don't care what they say/ If there's a will/ There's got to be a way," the septuagenarian singer-songwriter sings on the title track.
Orpheus Descending, which is Mellencamp's 25th studio album, was released via Republic Records in June.
The 11-track LP was recorded at his own Belmont Mall Studio.
Mellencamp wrapped his extensive 77-date North American "Live and In Person 2023" Tour in June.
