U.S. CPI To Be Market's Focus Amidst A Slew Of Data Releases

Anxiety ahead of the release of the consumer price inflation data from the U.S. on Wednesday dominated market sentiment across asset classes and regions. Besides the U.S. CPI readings, several economic data updates including Consumer and Business Confidence from Australia, Unemployment Rate and GDP from U.K., Economic Sentiment from Germany, Industrial Production and Retail Sales from China as well as Producer Price Inflation and Retail Sales from the U.S. are also due in the current week. An interest rate decision by the European Central Bank is due on Thursday.

Wall Street Futures are trading in positive territory. European benchmarks are also trading higher. Asian stock markets finished on a mixed note.

Dollar Index declined amidst the dollar's retreat. Bond yields hardened. Crude oil prices declined amidst anxiety ahead of release of inflation data from the U.S. Gold futures gained as a weak Dollar lifted on sentiment. Cryptocurrencies declined.
