Country duo Dan + Shay recently shared a heartwarming new song, "For the Both of Us."
In the new track, the narrator addresses his future father-in-law and promises to treat his daughter well.
"I know that you loved her first / But for better or worse / I'll treat her like you prayed that I would / When she's all dressed in white and you're giving her away / For the rest of my life / You can trust when I say," Shay Mooney sings before Dan Smyers joins.
Smyers co-wrote the track with Andy Albert and Jordan Reynolds. The song is the sixth song to be release from their forthcoming fifth studio album, Bigger Houses. The project is produced by Smyers and Scott Hendricks and will be available on September 15th via Warner Music Nashville.
The previously released songs from the album include lead single "Save Me the Trouble," "Bigger Houses," "Always Gonna Be," "Heartbreak on the Map," and "We Should Get Married."
