Maddie & Tae's Maddie Font recently took to social media to announce that she gave birth to her first child last Saturday (September 9).
Font shared a few photos of her baby's (named Forrest Henry) first hours and days. One picture shows Font's husband Jonah holding the child in the hospital, and another shows the newborn lying in his hospital bassinet beside her bed.
The singer said she had a "really scary" experience in labor leading up to the child's arrival. "After 37 hard hours of labor, finally getting to push and ending up having an emergency c-section and being put under, Forrest Henry Font made his debut," she wrote.
"Thank you to our incredible medical team at St. Thomas Midtown for taking incredible care of us and making a really scary experience as calm and comfortable as possible for our little family," she continued. "Forrest is everything Jonah and I could've ever dreamed of, and we'd go through it all over again for him. Thank you Lord for the gift of this perfect boy and this magical time. We are so in love."
According to Font's post, the child weighed 7 lbs., 10 oz. at birth.
