FKA Twigs, Shia LaBeouf Trial Postponed To October 2024

FKA Twigs' lawsuit against ex-boyfriend Shia LaBeouf will now go to trial in 2024.

Twigs had filed a lawsuit against LaBeouf at the end of 2020, accusing him of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress.

The trial was previously scheduled for November 6, 2023. However, on August 29, both parties agreed to a continuance, postponing the trial to October 14, 2024.

The filing notes that "certain discovery issues still remain to be resolved" and says that depositions for both sides have been repeatedly postponed due to scheduling issues surrounding Twigs and LaBeouf's respective "entertainment projects."

"What I went through with Shia was the worst thing I've ever been through in the whole of my life," Twigs told The New York Times in late 2020. "I don't think people would ever think that it would happen to me. But I think that's the thing. It can happen to anybody."
