KISS co-founder Gene Simmons has partnered with iconic instrument brand Gibson for a new signature bass named Gene Simmons EB-0 Bass.

The new bass, which is a limited edition run of 100 guitars, is inspired by the same bass that Simmons played with KISS in the 1970s. The model, priced at a little under $6,500, is available at authorized Gibson Custom Shop dealers around the globe and via gibson.com.

According to reports, the new Gene Simmons EB-0 Bass, which is based on Gene's modified 1959 EB-0, is the first 30.5-inch scale bass from the Gibson Custom Shop and the first bass the Custom Shop has produced in quantity.

Gibson and Simmons teamed up last year for the G² Thunderbird bass guitar - the KISS icon's first signature guitar with Gibson following the announcement of the pair's multi-year partnership in 2021.

Simmons and Gibson revealed than that they would collaborate on an entire range of G² models, which would span multiple Gibson Brands, including Epiphone and Kramer.
