Swizz Beatz, Timbaland To Be Honored At 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards

Superstar producers and entrepreneurs Swizz Beatz and Timbaland will be honored at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards.

LL Cool J, founder and CEO of Rock The Bells, will present the "Rock The Bells Cultural Influence Award" to Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, honoring their impressive cultural contributions, talents, and unbound creativity that has cemented them as two of the most innovative forces in music and popular culture.

Additional, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland will present this year's cypher in a Hip Hop celebration deejayed by DJ E Feezy and DJ Runna.

LL Cool J and Rakim will also be on hand to perform a special tribute to this year's "I Am Hip Hop Award" honoree, Marley Marl.

Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes will also be posthumously honored with the "Global Visionary Award," for his profound impact on the global Hip-Hop landscape. Family members Lynn and Tony Forbes will accept the award on his behalf during a tribute segment for the International airings of the BET Hip Hop Awards.

DaBaby, Fivio Foreign, GloRilla, and Sexyy Red are set to take the stage along with a deejay and producer tribute featuring Kid Capri, Kool DJ Red Alert, Scott Storch, and Spinderella. Names of more performers will be announced later.

To honor the 30th anniversary of legendary record label So So Def, an all-star roster of Hip Hop icons will perform at the event.

Hosted by recording artist, actor, entrepreneur, and media personality Fat Joe, the annual award show premieres on October 10 at 9 PM ET/PT.

21 Savage and Cardi B lead this year's nominees with an outstanding 12 nods each.

Apart from the confirmation of Kevin Warsh as the next Fed chair, the main news on the economics front this week included key price data from the U.S. and the first quarter economic growth figures from major economies. Both consumer prices and producer costs have started to reflect the effect of supply shocks due to the Middle East conflict. In Europe, GDP data was in focus, while inflation data from China dominated the news flow in Asia.
