Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems recently dropped a self-directed music video for her new song "Me & U," her first solo release this year.
"The song is about discovering the real me, buidling a genuine relationship with the Creator, and gaining a true perception of self," said Tems, who co-produced the track with Ghanian DJ GuiltyBeatz.
The visual is filled with scenes of Tems in solitude, dancing across the earth and sea, contrasted with moments of her surrounded by women playing drums and surrounding her in formations of circles and crosses.
"I need faith to believe you, faith to receive you," Tems sings. "Give me something I'm lacking, I don't need nothing, you are my everything."
Tems, whose last release was the EP If Orange Was a Place in 2021, first teased "Me & U" on September 29 on X, formerly known as Twitter.
