Bush recently released a video for "Nowhere To Go But Everywhere," a song from their upcoming Greatest Hits collection, Loaded: The Greatest Hits 1994-2023, due out on November 10 via Round Hill Records.
The song is all about the common tendency to hold onto the past and resist change — especially in one's appearance.
In the Jesse Davey-directed music video, frontman Gavin Rossdale represents our youth-obsessed culture by undergoing a de-aging procedure that's straight out of a sci-fi, post-apocalyptic novel.
"While anyone can identify with clinging to the past which the song addresses, the extremes we've seen some people go to for external youth is unnerving. It is a drag watching your own face age—and yet as, David Bowie said, 'The thing about aging is you become the person you should have been all along.' Genius. And feels true," Rossdale says about the video.
Bush will perform at the Grammy Museum in Downtown L.A. on Monday November 6, a few days before the release of the Greatest Hits collection.
The Grammy-nominated, multi-Platinum band, comprising Rossdale, Chris Traynor, Corey Britz and Nik Hughes, have sold over 24 million records, achieved one billion streams and scores of No. 1 hits so far.
