Supergroup Boygenius recently released a cover of "The Parting Glass" as a tribute to Sinead O'Connor via Interscope Records.
The group, consisting of Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus, collaborated with Irish folk duo Ye Vagbonds for the cover.
The song's cover artwork features a photo of the late O'Connor, who recorded the song in 2002.
Interscope Records and the two bands, Boygenius and Ye Vagabonds, have announced that the proceeds from the single will go to the Aisling Project, a charity that helps kids living in a disadvantaged area of Dublin.
"We are absolutely thrilled that Boygenius have chosen to give proceeds from the release to Aisling Project," said project leader Micheal Clear. "It's an absolute privilege to be associated with the stunningly beautiful homage to Sinead O'Connor and we can't possibly thank Boygenius enough."
