Elton John has received a RIAA certified multi-platinum plaque following his compilation Diamonds selling more than two million copies.

Elton was presented with the plaque earlier this month with Universal Group Chairman & CEO Sir Lucian Grainage and Universal Music Enterprises President & CEO Bruce Resnikoff in Los Angeles.

The legendary musician is currently celebrating the 50th anniversary of his famous holiday tune, "Step Into Christmas," originally released November 23, 1973. The song was featured on the Diamonds compilation.

Elton has now released a brand new digital Step Into Christmas EP, featuring his top holiday hits.
