KISS' Paul Stanley has revealed that his recent bout with the flu made him wonder whether "it was my time."

KISS recently cancelled their End of the Road Tour shows in Ottawa, Toronto and Knoxville due to "unforeseen illness" within the touring party.

The band returned to the stage on Saturday, November 25, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, where a pre-show soundcheck and Q&A session saw co-founder Stanley open up about his health situation.

"You know, I've done shows with cracked ribs, I've done shows with a 103 fever," he explained. "[This time] I literally... I was wondering if it was my time. But anyway, I'm here, and it's awesome."

Stanley had also issued an apology after two Canadian shows were canceled, writing on X, "Toronto And Ottawa… I've done everything possible to get onstage and be a part of the incredible 2 1/2 hour celebration we planned but this flu has made it impossible. I along with Gene, Tommy and Eric couldn't be more disappointed and send our deepest apologies."
