Brenda Lee's 'Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree' Reaches No. 1 On Billboard Hot 100

Brenda Lee's 1958 classic "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" has hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time, 65 years after its debut.

"Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" has become the third holiday song ever to top the Hot 100 after "The Chipmunk Song," by The Chipmunks with David Seville, and Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

The song also marks Lee's third No. 1 hit in her career, following "I'm Sorry" and "I Want To Be Wanted".

"Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" drew 34.9 million streams, up 69%, and 20.7 million radio airplay audience impressions, up 35%, and sold 3,000 downloads, up 39%, in the November 24-30 tracking week, according to Luminate.
